Regardless of what the weakest season is, the whole show is good. We don't need every show to be a prestige HBO/Apple TV show. Sometimes I just want dumb, shut-my-brain-off fun.
The best line delivery in the whole show was Robin's "Jesus what?!" when Derek said to suck his fat one

If I am bored later, I will type out all the reasons that El is 100% alive. Like, the episode makes no sense if she died there.
But the particles leave once you’re physically removed from the vine mouth stuff. Will also got them gone at the end of s2.
And El's and Kali's blood came from Henry's blood which got its powers from the mind flayer particles Regardless of your interpretation of the finale, either Kali or El had powers after Henry and the Mind Flayer died
That’s another aspect/point. Kali and El had it in their blood. Did not rely on Henry and the hive mind. Will’s powers were just borrowing Henry’s via the hive mind. The hive mind is gone. Regardless of that, his powers were unique vs everyone else.
Also why Prince’s music is on streaming services. If he were still alive, it’s safe to say he’d probably still be holding out on it. Or start his own streaming service with a certain fee.
Finale played incredibly well for me in the theater. It was packed and everyone was locked in. I was trying not to cry the whole 2nd half. I’m sure haters are gonna hate, and this season was the weakest but they landed plane about as good as they could have imo. I’m very glad this show existed.
That's fair because I was close to ranking 4 and 3 equally, but I think 4 has some moments that give it an edge
5 is too fresh to rank but as is this is probably mine too but 1 and 4 change top spot depending on my mood.
i haven't rewatched the full show yet so i'll restrain from ranking for now but i think season 4 is a masterclass in television and might be one of the best seasons of any show ever
Rewatched the series leading up to season 5 and season 2 is nowhere near as bad as people originally said it was. Having Eleven separated from the crew had some fallbacks but personally I think season 4 was the worst. Season 4 was sooooo bloated and while there were highlights like Eddie Munson being one of the best characters in modern television and Sadie Sink crushing it as Max that season, the Hopper in Russia plot line dragged on sooooo much.
Wtf with the Soviet sub plot. They had multiple inter-dimensional beings in vats in the last season. Probably the biggest thing that irked me in the entire rewatch was the military / Soviet sub plots. It was always a boogey man thing that rarely had lasting consequences. Having the woman from Terminator ultimately have no lasting impact was a bit of a bummer. Her fight with 11 was cool and then it fell pretty flat.
