I am so glad there was no redemption arc. I am glad that Will offered him empathy and a way out of his demons. I am glad that Henry rejected it and doubled down on being evil. Makes his ending all the more satisfying. The Duffers said either the season or finale mirror s1, and it’s super accurate here. El saying goodbye to Mike, seemingly dying, and running off is so s1. Also, if she was the one standing at the gate, how did she speak to Mike on her mind? Impossible. Her getting out of the effect range to communicate with Mike only works if what we saw was not her. Her sudden disappearance when they stopped also can only be explained by Kali’s aid. Also, whenever Mike is DMing, we never see what he is describing. It’s just stories. But we see El (and water falls). I believe that could only exist for the audience to see her truly alive, but in hiding.
Henry had the chance to come back to himself, Will tried. I think I like it? I can’t tell if he was right and they “needed each other” or if that was just him fooling himself into thinking he wasn’t just being used by the Mind Flayer
I think they needed each other. Yes, mind flayer needed someone like Henry to help him cross the gap. But, also yes, Henry was a twisted fuck who chose to not resist the MF to get power to do fucked up shit to others.
So what do you guys think the spinoff is about? Apparently Finn Wolfhard is the only one who guessed what it's about.
Everyone doing range attacks and then there’s Dustin and Steve running underneath it to potentially get crushed was unintentionally very funny to me.
Omg the snowball memory ugh And all the Prince music hah Figured El was gonna do it, thought she changed her mind during the fight, but nope: Finn acting his ass off in this scene
I was whelmed. Not perfect but damn it was good enough. Really have no complaints other than wish we got more while we could have
