I don’t think Kali can be trusted. Someone who views an absolute in the way she does is either extremely naive or extremely dangerous. Neither of which I would want to be around if I was going into the abyss and confronting vecna. If I was Hopper I would be just as skeptical, especially with all the secrecy.
it feels very obvious that Kali will die/sacrifice herself and eleven will be ready to do it too and at the very last second Kali will tell eleven she needs to stay alive/save herself/go be with mike, yadda yadda yadda and Kali will be (probably) the only "good" person to die.
Kali's suicide pact is predicated on the idea that if all people with psychic blood die, Dimension X will become uncotactable. This is super flawed, because we know Henry only gained his powers through the briefcase and was not patient 0.
Notably, the 1959 school production of "Oklahoma" that Henry (& Joyce, Hopper, etc.) was in was also scheduled to take place on November 6th too, as seen when Max enter's Henry's memories.
So Eleven is definitely going to stay in the Abyss when Hopper has to sacrifice himself with the suicide bomber vest to collapse the bridge, right?
I can’t wait to see the finale in the theatre tomorrow w/ ppl who are there to have fun and then go online to consume the worst takes of all time
To be fair, I haven't enjoyed the show much the past two seasons. I will eventually watch because I feel like I have to after watching 4+ seasons but I'm not looking forward to it.
In that case, just don’t finish the show. If you don’t like it, I don’t see anything changing for you at this point. The show is very much still doing what it’s done for awhile.
I was initially really intrigued that Kali came back, that was a big surprise when she was behind the door. I think whatever happens next her dialogue has been pretty unremarkable. 11 has had very little to do this season so I trust she will get her moment and Kali is somehow connected. There have been a lot of subtle misdirects, I trust they didnt bring her back for nothing. I am in the minority that didnt hate her arc in season 2.
Surprisingly S3 doesn't seem to be very popular which is wild to me. Creepiest monster in the show and Dacre kills it as Billy
I liked Season 3. Felt like that should have been the series tbh. When I said past two seasons, I was referring to this one and last one. I have liked bits and pieces of each season, but overall, I feel like it's been repetitive and very 'meh'
