Sadie and maya kinda carrying the show at this point. Enjoying it but probably my least favorite season just by the nature of having to be so plot and wrap-up heavy instead of just having fun. Still some laughs here and there, like the aforementioned “but not pancaked” lol the will coming out scene felt eye-rolly in 2025, but it takes place in the 80’s, so it kind of justifies it?
I had to laugh at who didn't join the group hug after Will came out. Imagining that Hopper, Steve, Erica and some of the others being bigots and not wanting anything to do with him was just too much.
There were people in that group who had to be like "why the fuck am I here for this? I barely know this kid"

Oh good. I want the Vecna backstory stuff, the real big bad reveal, his redemption arc, and many main character to finally die. enjoying it so far, but the little things are starting to really bother me. All the heart to hearts, the painful coming out scene, and there’s way too many fucking characters to still be alive while army guys are getting dropped like flies
I think the government vs. 11 stuff is the least fun, at least bringing in 8 kind of changes the awful dynamic of her and Hopper that never changes. They keep adding army guys who are going to get fed to the meat grinder, I know they’re not a threat. 11 having Vecna’s blood is interesting, and I think there’s some more interesting stuff there, but them continuously dodging bullets while taking out everyone around them is getting old. Sadie Sink is clearly the best actor in this, glad they gave her so much to do even if the writing was rough sometimes. Holly’s actress is good too, I just wish she wasn’t playing 7 years old at 13 or whatever. Steve and Dustin were good, I hope we’re done with Nancy and Jonathan after that, I was going to rank them but fuck, this main group is like 20 guys now, can someone die? I thought Lucas was badly wounded but he walked it off like nothing, didn’t even come up again!
Yeah, understandable that the quaintness of the first couple seasons is long gone now as the budget has ballooned, but main cast feels WAY too big. It's apparent immediately from the poster.
Would have been a great episode to kill someone, give the finale real stakes, but if the Wheeler parents can’t even die I don’t think they’re going to kill anyone besides the mountain of nameless army guys.
Also where do Lucas'/Erica's and Dustin's families think they are? They've been gone for days on end.
Could cut these episodes down a lot by getting rid of the boring Jonathan vs Nancy and Steve vs Dustin bickering
The "the upside down has it's own upside down which has it's own dream universe" stuff and the "Vecna is patient zero for psychic stuff and everyone else's powers come from him" stuff was clearly stuff the Duffers thought of between seasons and just jammed in here.
After all this fighting and terror and murder, when 11 yells to kill the child groomer, and the wormhole closes, and a million army guys die while the main characters miraculously escape death over and over, and their meticulously planning lets them conquer the great evil controlling the great evil, destroy the government also, and save the world, their reward is getting to live happily ever after in Indiana?
I went to Indianapolis on a work trip for the first time over the summer. It was a nice enough place. Nothing positive or negative to say really other than: it was hot and humid as hell, and they have damn nice hotels at surprisingly affordable rates First time I've stayed at a hotel that had free breakfast, dinner, AND 2 alcoholic drinks per night at like $200 a night. I'm used to Boston where everything costs a million dollars and driving anywhere sends your blood pressure through the roof. EDIT Needing a VPN to watch porn was weird, though.
