Not my kind of music but I don't think it's bad. Finn isn't a great singer but it works in the particular genre and his voice isn't as bad as some other bands in these forums that people love
Saw a video of them covering where is my mind and he sings where is my vape and that should be a war crime.
oh definitely. The "explaining the plan" thing is driving me crazy. It's all very same-y too. One of the characters suddenly has a eurkea moment and everyone agrees. Everything this season feels unbelievably forced and completely agreeeee that they're all in on this whole "everything needs to be repeated and explained since everyone is on their phone" type programming that netflix wants. I'm enjoying the season.....sorta but idk how much of it is me enjoying it because i've enjoyed the show a lot up until now and am cutting them slack.
nah would have not preferred his last outing to be that Homer Simpson ass caricature he was in s3. the Agent Orange monologue in s4 is his best moment too
A teen died from accidentally falling off the building used for the exterior shots of Hawkins Lab while doing urban exploring
Haha on rewatch I'm just getting sick of the trope of him being a total jerk for several episodes only to give a heartfelt apology towards the end and then it resets the next season. Although at least this season he chills out halfway through
Yeah, I forgot until the volume 2 trailer that they were still holding the finale until New Year's. So dumb. I'm probably going to watch all of volume 2 the night I get home from being with family on Christmas haha.
Gotta get a whole quarter's worth of subs from the people just coming in to watch that and then dipping I guess.
Completely enthralled with season 5. Went back to season 1 and it’s so good! Thought retreading would be boring because of the expansive storytelling in 4 and 5 but the acting and direction is just so good. This show is so special.
Just started season 2 and there’s definitely a drop off, I remember loving the mall in season 3 and 4 really pulled me in. I’m excited. Interested in the Russian intrigue that is throughout. I feel like it’s the biggest loose end to pay off in the finale because it’s so unconnected to the Vecna arc.
Season 2 hits different when you have the context of Vecna. I know “Will the Wise” was on the rewatch list from the Duffer Brothers. The whole mind flair possession thing rules. I’m really enjoying this rewatch. The one thing that is a little hand wavy is the mutual agreement from the lab and EVERYONE who knows the truth about what happened to just keep their trap shut. It’s pretty silly.
A few weeks ago I was planning to show Season 5 to my dad, but we were a little hazy on the early seasons and it turned out he never even finished Season 4, so we figured we'd rewatch the whole series before the christmas episodes drop. In the rewatch I was really surprised by how much I loved Season 2. I think the chemistry between all the actors was the best in that season, and Eleven's story arc felt genuinely important. I especially think it really did a good job of showcasing the nature of Mike & Will's relationship, which made their falling out in Season 3 hurt more. The whole season just elevated the scale of Season 1 without losing the survival horror elements and emotional beats that made it so special in the first place. We're halfway through Season 4 now, and wow these episodes are sooo long. The Hawkins plot is really engaging, especially Robin, Max & Eddie's characters, but whenever it cuts to the California squad it feels like the action completely halts. Russia plotline is honestly a lot more fun than I remember it being, but it does definitely feel like it's there to pad the runtime. Anyways I think my ranking of the seasons is now: Season 2 > Season 1 > Season 3 > Season 4
Season 2 was great. Agreed @Blink182Bouncer , I was also surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I don’t think the eleven side quest is that bad. Big empire strikes back vibes on purpose. It’s funny she just hangs with some crust punks. Steve becoming a baby sitter is great, all the mind flair stuff is great with further context from season 4. The characters are just so great. Murray is so subdued in this season compared to how raucous he becomes. I forgot about the conspiracy theory plotline. Billy is horrifying. What a great actor. Love Samwise in Stranger things. I am watching home alone with my kid and season 2 is big time lost in New York vibes. The tunnels all over the walls to fill the place of the Christmas lights. Psyched for 3. This has been so fun, I’m not a big tv guy, haven’t binged something in a long time.
Finished season 3. It’s the popcorn summer season. Arnold style bad guy, the mall, everyone getting in a relationship. It’s the most dumb and fun season. I hope we get a massive in depth pod with the Duffer Brothers when this is all over. Would love to get some bts on how solidified things were going into season 4, did they have Vecna in mind during 3? People are griping about the release of the final season, but the rewatch after seeing vol 1 has been so fun.
