The kids ages didn’t bother me when I thought they were seniors, but I guess they’re only supposed to be 15? And that bothers me, I don’t why they didn’t just time jump a little, especially for Holly.

 

The portal earthquake was the perfect time to be like "this took 3 years to put down the metal plates and secure the area and make a quarantine zone", instead they did 18 months later.

 

I thought i read there was gonna be an 18 month time jump, but appears it’s only been 6 months. That would make the kids sophomores 15 turning 16 depending on birthdays. They’re not the most believable 15/16 year olds but it’s also not horrible. Erica only being 12ish is way more weird looking lol

holly is fine to me but this means she was supposed to be 5 in season 1 and I don’t remember her seeming like she was 5 haha, more like 3

 

If there was an 18 month time jump then they’re juniors in HS and even more believable

 

There was a title screen that said 18 months later

 

yes it is, its so incredibly jarring that these are supposed to be 16 year olds lol

 

idk man some of the 16 year olds in my building walk around with full ass beards haha, they aged these kids down with haircuts and dress pretty decently. Lucas and Mike are the worsr offenders though,

 

i don't think they aged them down with the haircuts. i feel like it just adds to the absurdity lol, they look completely ridiculous.

 

like its whatever, i'm not not enjoying the show because of it, but its so heinous its almost funny.

 

And the wardrobes, you can't just put a teenager in bright clothes and call her seven.

It should have just been two more years later, give us a little bit more.

 

But it's something SO many people are talking about, in a negative way. Adding a few more years to the story feels like an easy solution.

 

Or, you know, not taking a decade to get through 38 total episodes

 

I personally don’t think they look ridiculous enough. Michael C. Hall in a wig or bust.

 

finished ep 4. There are some Looney Tunes levels of silliness going on in this show and I can't take that general lady with the terrible haircut seriously but overall it's just dumb fun so far where it will likely remain for me

The first 3 episodes were fine, but I loved the last 30 minutes of episode 4. Some of the jokes/dialogue are too hamfisted for my liking. I don’t need dick jokes in this show at all. Noah Schnapp is dreadful at acting and anytime he talks it’s so awkward. Jonathan continues to be an absolutely useless character. That being said the action has been pretty great and the story seems to be picking up again. Excited for this show to finally end lol

Finished up the first four episodes this weekend.
