he acts like Homer Simpson lol. the acting is so over the top it's pretty embarrassing to watch some of his scenes
True, I will say the shouting matches with Joyce go way over the top a few times. But I do think a lot of the other behavior tracks for a guy with all those new stressors in life lol
Just started season 1 rewatch. My son’s first time watching. Hes hooked. And damn so many little things the show does right here.
My sister started it with my 8 year old nephew this past year and I cannot wait to do it with my son. He’s only 6 so probably gonna hold off another couple years just so he hopefully understands a lot more of it. He wouldn’t be scared of it now, I just don’t feel like trying to explain every single thing to him hahaha
its really really funny on a rewatch going from Max crying when Billy dies -> Max and Lucas singing Neverending Story to make fun of Dustin -> Max is grieving and not talking to anyone in early s4
Through 7 episodes of season 2 and it’s much better than I remember. Mike doesn’t annoy me all that much. Out of the kids Caleb and Sadie are the stand outs while honestly MBB might be the weak link for me. Still insane to put episode 7 in this season/one of my least favorite episodes of television I can remember
I honestly don't think it's that much worse than the rest of that season lol, not saying much though the scene with the Brenner hallucination is pretty good/important to the Eleven arc
Man the finale of s4 feels like it draws every single scene out like 4 times longer than it needs to be lol
yea s4 is definitely still my favourite. the darker NOES type vibe is so refreshing after how silly the previous two seasons got. absolutely love the buildup and payoff to the Vecna storyline, Dear Billy is the peak of the whole show even the roadtrip storyline that everyone hates is generally better than the previous really forced humour (Lucas doing an ad for New Coke etc). feel like the season would just be a bummer without it
Nancy being a badass with a gun is eternally one of my favorite character arcs on the show lol. The way she's introduced all the way to Eddie saying "You, nancy wheeler, have gunS, plural, in your bedroom" is just really fun lol
Okay, so, I know MBB has earned some fair criticisms on her acting. But, as I’m watching 4.8 in my rewatch, her speech to Brenner is a really solid performance. Her performance felt so off earlier in the season. Much better this episode.

Simp boyfriend Mike is quite annoying, but I think sometime around episode 4 it chills out and he gets better. Hopper honestly I don’t mind at all season 3 minus the shouting matches with Joyce
