Just finished season 3 and Robin, Steve and Billy easily put it over season 2 by the end I think. Robin and Steve are just an all time duo
The actress that played 8 in season 2 was at the premier, and Harbour and Millie were yucking it up together it looks like
Got through my rewatch of season 3 the other day. Still easily the best of the first 3 imo. Two episodes into season 4 and I am not really liking this. Gonna stick it out due to the acclaim and hope it comes together The stoner thing for Jonathan is a great fit, like this character way more now even if he’s just as useless
Just rewatched season 4 in preparation. Just wild how boring the Mike/Will/etc. side is compared to the rest. Hoping they can pull it off in an overall satisfying way for the ending!
While it's definitely the weakest of the stories that season, the scene when the military shows up at the house is pretty well done. And then once they meet back up with El it's better.
Yeah it is...the only thing I dislike about it is, by this point in the show, with them all being split up all the time in seasons 3 and 4, Mike went from feeling like the co-lead with El to really being more in the background/just a way to help ground El, so at that point Will's speech about Mike being the leader and the "heart" feels a little out of place haha
The only fun part of that arc was when they went to Utah to meet Dustin's girlfriend. Besides that it was a giant slog.
Honestly, the road trip plot in S4 was better than I remembered on rewatch. I just think the stuff in Hawkins is the best the show's ever been and Argyle is the worst the show's ever been, so it comes up a bit short. Still great moments like everything mentioned above.
been rewatching s1, it's definitely got the special sauce but it feels wrong not having Max and Robin around. they really integrated the new characters super well into the main gang
honestly think the kids characters mostly got way stronger in later seasons (except for Mike lol) but they just never got Hop and Joyce better than in s1. both characters are pitch perfect at the start and just go downhill from there lol
Not to hold water for the Duffers, but I imagine they would say the scene (or at least 11’s outfit) is an homage to the “Footloose” scene. If not - insane and either way, not a good clip.
