You got bamboozled, Steve. Stranger Things showrunner debunks that 3-hour finale runtime rumor post: "Not even close to accurate" | GamesRadar+
Been rewatching Season 1 this past week, it’s so so good. forgot about possibly my favorite Hopper moment: That face gets me every time also the moment after he finds the bug in his house and goes to Joyce’s and thinks she’s bugged too but then sees all the Christmas lights and goes “oh god” lol
i think my point still stands even if the math ain't mathing. if you make a season that has half as many episodes as usual but the episodes are twice as long as usual, i mean, why. i feel like Stranger Things was one of the early streaming shows that popularized shorter episode counts per season in the first place
Finally finished season 4 yesterday. The entire season would have benefited from being 2 - 3 hours shorter.
There’s been a lot of speculation about that. Maya Hawke said that every episode is like a movie, but then Finn Wolfhard said that’s not necessarily true of every episode. Recently the Duffer brothers said this in an interview with Variety: “Episode 4 and Episode 8 are like movies,” Matt Duffer said. Though he was quick to add, “Every runtime I’ve seen posted online is inaccurate.” Duffer Brothers on Netflix Exit, Stranger Things Future
I recently rewatched the series and season 4 is pretty awful other than anything with Sadie sink. So I’m not expecting much but hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Hate the long episode run times if true.
