I find his character somewhat boring but didn't think the acting was terrible. My favorite story I've read about it/him though is how he couldn't figure out how to say scream "Nancy!" in an American accent and that's why it sounds so weird the way he says it when they're searching for her in the woods and apparently they all made fun of him for it on set or something like that lol
Hospitals typically have shitty movie selections. Last time I was in I ended up watching that terrible Monster Hunter adaptation.
They were showing a King of the Hill marathon on FX most of the time I was in the hospital it also kinda ruled.
It reminded me of being in college and just watching whatever movies were on tv on Saturday before we went to a party or whatever that night.
Has everyone else been hospitalized? I haven’t. Or are we counting being there for a loved one? If so, I spent an insane amount of time in them with my younger brother. They had TVs with VCRs that they would wheel in for us to watch movies.
I spent two days in the hospital a couple years ago for a bad case of cellulitis where I needed to go on IV antibiotics. Nowadays hospital rooms have their own TVs with cable and their own VOD system that has movies on it kinda like an airplane's . Felt kind of like being stuck in a shitty motel room for two days.
Watched Dodgeball a dozen times in one week as a kid because it was one out of three or four movies airing on TV in the hospital room. Another movie I vaguely remember from that week was a comedy that, at one point, ended up at a golf course and may have even featured golf cart racing. Never could recall the title. Probably had notable comedy stars from the 00s so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Last movie I remember watching a handful of times during that stay was Hollow Man. A bit awkward for a 10 year old but I turned out fine (not)
Almost done with my rewatch of season 4 The Hawkins arc is great The Eleven flashback arc where we learn the origin of Vecna is fine The rescue Hopper from Russia arc is bad The cross country road trip arc with Mike/Will/Jonathan/goofy character actor who plays the same exact stoner character in everything he's in is bad
I was hospitalized for 14 days back in 2010. I was experiencing what felt like brutal back spasms for a several weeks and nobody I saw could seem to figure out what it was. Turned out that it was referred pain from my gallbladder being so jam packed full of gallstones that it had pushed a ton of them into my pancreas and it was about to burst. To make matters worse, early on in my stay I caught pneumonia and ecoli. Not a fun time
I haven’t seen the movie and maybe don’t understand the reference, but if Godzilla was real there’d be so many Godzilla podcasts.
Went to Rochester last weekend for a wedding. Had the perfect hotel experience of an ice-cold room, watching “Back To The Future,” “The Mask” and “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” on cable.
It absolutely was, minus the Maid of Honor using her speech to do an unintentionally hilarious rendition of an awful Alabama song. Otherwise, was real bad.
