I don’t really get why people are so hung up on their ages. Every show from the early-late 2000s the cast members look 40 in high school. WHO cares
Tbf I’m not hung up on it I just thought that tweet was funny haha. I teach kids their supposed age and they honestly don’t look THAT much older than a senior in HS would. A little old for sophomores maybe hah
In older shows they usually started out that way, so the year-over-year difference was negligible. When you hire actual child actors and they grow faster than the show’s timeline, it’s super noticeable.
I don’t really follow entertainment media/news much so I’m not privy to any reasonings or drama or updates, but while I find long waits between seasons incredibly annoying and deflating, the wild success of this show paired with the shamefully long wait times does make each season release feel like a special pop culture event, so they have that going for them
In fact I remember when season 1 premiered one of the things people kept saying was how novel it was having kid characters played by actual decent kid actors because they were so normalised to seeing 25 years olds play 14 year olds. Now it's the other way around.
Maya Hawke canceled her US tour. She's done filming stranger things but another project came up that overlapped with the tour
I don’t really like Vecna as a villain. He was too whiny. Before he got his backstory he was creepy, now I wonder why the kids just don’t bully him.
I thought Vecna was great, my only complaint is I liked the idea of the mind flayer being its own thing/big bad and not technically just a trick played by Vecna
I’m kind of worried about them revealing too much about the upside down. The mystery makes it scarier. If they end up telling us it was made by some whiny human that turned into a Freddy Kruger look alike I’m going to be pissed.
If you’re worried about the show revealing too many answers, go watch Lost or something. What a weird “worry.”
I don't know, I feel like everything I learned about the Upside Down last season lessened my excitement/interest in it. Part of that is I don't like the direction it seems to be going in, but I also just think that's all stuff we don't need the answers for.
Less is more. Answers are usually unsatisfying. This isn't a foreign concept, and this is a needlessly aggressive response.
