I didn't get on the original hype train for Season 1, but I caught the flu coming out of our winter break that year, and it was also a couple big snow storms, so we were off from work anyway. I couldn't move from the couch and my wife was home from work due to the snow so we threw it on and immediately loved it
I would love to see the gang all find a way to contribute to the solution. It’s way more interesting and why I loved season 1 - even though they don’t actually pull anything off because El just gestures and obliterated the Demo in the classroom when it’s gonna kill them all, they were trying real shit and doing it as a team. That’s way more interesting than someone putting up their hand and shouting, no matter what the other visuals are after that gesture.
1 > 4 > 2 > 3 Even if the final season bombs, I will probably watch Season 1 for the rest of my life. Just a perfect season of TV. Can't think of anything I'd change. Season 4 has some of the highest highs in the series (Max's episode is my favorite of the entire show) even if other elements are imperfect. Darker tone was a great call. Season 2 is a little bit too derivative of the first, but I still think everything involving Will is the scariest the show has been and the final two episodes are insanely good. Season 3 is super fun, but too silly for me to take as seriously. But again, the final episode is amazing. The show really knows how to stick it's landings.
1. That episode that was like a Bill Lustig film set in 80s NY 2. The scene with "I Melt With You" at the pool 3. The Mall season 4. Vecna Season 5. 1 6. 2
Doing a lot of channel surfing with Covid here, so Hunger Games Catching Fire Pt 2 is on for like the 4th time in the last days. So I flip it on again...Katniss is being introduced to her new unit that she's going into the capitol with....For the first itme I notice that 2nd Lt. Mitchell, the 'finest sharpshooter in the army' or whatever, is being played by Ted Wheeler lol
