Shipping is not at all a new thing though haha

I was kind of expecting Robin and Nancy to be higher, but Will and Mike are at number one and the rest of the top 10 are pretty queer. I wonder if Wednesday and Enid would be on there if that was out earlier in the year. Also, kind of goes to show how starved for representation we are if most of the top queer ships aren't even canon and we gotta rely on fanfic to get it.

 

I know what shipping is, just not how it relates to Tumblr, a platform I am only passingly aware of at best.

 

I'm guessing this ranks ships by the number of fanfics posted on tumblr

 

I refuse to believe that a group as terminally online as this one doesn’t know the term shipping lol. It has to be at least 20 years old.

 

I’m 36, have been very online since I was a kid, and have never even heard of the term, let alone know what it means, haha

 

I know what shipping means just not how it relates to tumblrs success or whatever. But I honestly don’t care either lol.

 

In my book, this is the only shipping I need.

 

Amazon Prime *cue Bo Burnham singing Jeffrey Bezos* has pretty good shipping, too

I refuse to ship Will and Mike. Will deserves much better.

 

I still think people are too hard on Mike. He's just handled everything they've been through the worst. It's pretty clear the losing Eleven thing really traumatized him (AFTER all the stuff with Will and the demigorgan did) and he's been trying to figure it out ever since. And a 15 year old boy who's never talked to girls before suddenly gets a girlfriend who has never talked to anyone outside of a lab before, so it's not like he's getting good direction on how to act in a relationship either lol

 

I generally agree with all of that, yeah.

And yet I still don’t really like him lol. His hug with Hopper this season was sweet.

Actually, I’ll say I generally really liked Mike a lot in season one and have felt like they’ve struggled with his character ever since.
