I’m v online but I’ve refused to join TikTok lol. All I see is what my girlfriend sends me and what ends up being reposted on twitter/IG. I’m 28 and she’s 29.

 

I don't the feel the need to use it because a ton of TikTok stuff gets reposted on twitter/IG anyway... then a ton of twitter/IG stuff gets reposted on reddit, on here, and on other forums. The online cycle of life

Nah, that meme is spot-on. It's not making fun of cultural appropriation, it's making fun of people who think "metalheads" or "gamers" or any other subculture are marginalized on the same level as actual minoritized groups.

Incel white boys with nothing to actually feel oppressed about can't blame their status as social outcasts on their race, gender, sexuality, etc. so they blame it on whatever interest they have. They use those communities as surrogate identities for white male grievance. That's why they get so pissed off when women or BIPOC folk try to enter their communities, because they believe the oppression experience of being an angry white dude is crucial to engage in their subculture, so they see it as stolen valor. Sadly, this commitment to painting oneself as an outcast becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, because if these dudes just showered and stop being fucking weird to women and/or POC, they'd probably have friends and get laid and stop being so angry.
