I’m guessing the upside down we see Vecna first in, with the cloud and giant floating rocks is really different from the one we usually see. Something about 11 opening that gate in Hawkins must have left an imprint of the town in that dimension, so that when the gate is fully opened Hawkins is fully duplicated in the Upside Down and the eldritch monster hell of the Upside Down crosses over into the real world. The whole timeline of the series takes place in a half-finished reversal that needed more power to complete.
I feel like Mike worked really well in Seasons 1 and 2 cause he has this kind of stilted delivery to his lines that, when he was young, just kinda sounded like how kids talk naturally, but now, as he ages closer to adulthood, just kind of sounds like he's reading off a cue-card.
In Finn's defense he isn't given anything to work with. His character is pretty irrelevant this season. He might not be the greatest actor but the writers didn't do him any favors.
Steve Dustin Murray Erica Mike and Nancy’s dad dude is such a lazy total piece of shit I can’t help it
Also mike is the most annoying character to me by far. Total piece of shit like his dad but not endearing at all
yeah in season 1 and 2 he was a pretty great and/or relatable character that had a story to work with (being the leader of a bullied friends group, and then dealing with the loss of his puppy love in season 2)…like that scene when he loses it on Hopper and collapses into his hug after he finds out Hopper knew she was alive all this time is a little gut shot. but in season 3 and 4 his story has basically been “awkward kid figuring out how not to be a crappy boyfriend” and it’s…kind of boring and unimportant. There’s so many other characters now that can figure out these mysteries/lead the group that it kind of leaves Mike in the background being in love with El and that’s about it hah
I’m starting to feel bad for Finn Wolfhard. I don’t think 19 year old me (or current lol) would have been able to handle the backlash of going from the main character of a surprise hit show to a punching bag as it became the biggest thing in the world. Maybe kind of double bad here with the show’s inherent appeal to nerdy folks and kids haha, two groups who’ve historically been super mature about things they don’t like! The writers have put the real life dude in a pretty tough spot imo. I’m sure it’s happened plenty of time in film/tv history, but there’s something a little extra sad about watching it happen to a person we got introduced to as a 12 year old.
Props to the creators of the show insisting that Eddie's fingering for "Master Of Puppets" was CORRECT.
I saw some at a store in Philly a week before the season if came out with a bunch of other stranger things merch and obviously didn’t understand the shirt at the time.
I've seen them listed online at Walmart and Hot Topic, the latter has them on backorder until August/Sept. Hoping to find one in the wild
Probably not the best idea for Doja Cat to DM a teenager to slide into the DMs of Eddie Munson. Like, what do you expect a young kid to do when they're getting hit up by one of the biggest pop stars in the world?
I saw that on the bird app but assumed it was fake cuz nobody mentioned it on chorus. Usually you nerds are up on this. Doja is pretty problematic already no?
I don't really know how much of an accountability thing because she wasn't hitting up Noah to get with him, it was to get message Joseph Quinn. But it is weird that she did it that way considering how extremely online she is and how easy it is to access his IG. Also, gross that she's calling out a literal teenager for doing a typical teen thing.
Not only a literal teenager, but also a notorious shitposter. Like, 10 seconds on his TikTok and you'd know he'd post those DMs instantly lol
Also, it's just not a big deal? Like those DM's are funny and endearing, and Doja is already so memeable, it's not like it'll hurt her cred or anything. Sure, it wasn't the most responsible thing for Noah to do, but it's a total weirdchamp response for Doja to be all upset about it.
