100% agreed that the Byer brothers are the most lost characters on the show, especially Jonathan. I'm surprised at low Mike has fallen too, in terms of importance.
Argyle is fun if only for the fact that that “Booksmart” is booking more things. That ending CGI might have been the worst thing I’ve seen since “Spawn.” The Vecna-related deaths seemed to also get worse CGI as the show went on. The actual production and set design remains amazing and I’m glad they’re spending money on the small stuff like real posters and whatnot. Sad that Lucas didn’t bust into an ad for Lite Brite like he did with New Coke. Being popular really went to his head.
caught up last night, I think this is my favorite season so far. The longer episodes really worked for the show, I didn't feel like any side plots were rushed or anything, I got full focus on all of them
I don’t know if the complaints are anything felt rushed as much as the non-Vecna plots felt like they took forever.
I guess, I kinda like that things took forever though. I didn't have any issues with length is what I'm getting at
This season has been the best one yet thus far. No complaints. Excited for volume 2, which sounds insane.
I have this terrible feeling in my stomach that Steve is not going to make it past season 4. They are just teasing too much with him and Nancy and I think he is going to go into Vecna's place with Nancy and end up sacrificing himself for her or just getting killed.
I just finished the first 7 episodes of this, and I thought it was pretty much perfect. I was never bored at any point. I’d watch twenty more seasons of this show. 3 = 4 > 1 > 2 Did they show Will/Jonathan/Argyle/Mike at all in episode 7? I completely forget where they even are/what they’re doing lol
Nope, they didn't appear at all, and it's super weird once you notice it. In theory they're driving to find Eleven @ The Nina Project, but I think the last we saw of them was when Argyle & Eden were smoking together in the van.
Last thing we saw from them is yeah them figuring out where Eleven is and getting ready to leave and going to the fan and finding them smoking weed. Presumably they’re on the way to The Nina Project location, and I assume they’ll get there either right before or right as the military is getting there
Haven't seen it mentioned but one of the craziest things to me was the idea that Murray's Russian would be so flawless that the prison guys would not question it. Though I guess you could say him acting silly could partially cover up any accent. Really excited to see how they wrap this up and how the groups come back together. It's mentioned several times that Eleven was trained to attack from a distance so I feel like she might stay where she is and fight Vecna in the upside down instead of going back to Hawkins. Not sure if that's possible with the military guys coming for her but the comments stood out to me.
In real life or the show? on the show, the main gang is all freshmen in high school, Nancy and Robin and Jonathan are seniors, Steve is what would be his freshman year of college. Eddie was supposed to graduate 2 years ago so he’s presumably 20.
I legitimately thought Nancy and Jonathan graduated already too. I thought Nancy's job at the newspaper was like a college internship or something.
I don’t think it’s weird that Will/Mike/Jon weren’t in episode 7 because it’s not the final episode of the season so it’s fine
I just rewatched season 3, so I know this! That season took place in the summer, so it was a summer job.
