Just finished it. I really like what they're doing with the Hawkins group and Eleven's story, but I really had a hard time getting invested in the Joyce/Murray/Hopper and Jonathan/Mike/Will plots. The former just feels so disconnected from everything else going on and the latter is just kinda bleh. Also, what's with them suddenly pushing Steve and Nancy again? That whole thread felt like it came out of nowhere
if this is in reference to me in the top gun thread I was just making a dumb joke and I truly apologize that I upset you or made you think people don’t want you to post here.
Hey I totally get the sentiment, believe me. There are people on here who live to shit on others and make them feel bad for their opinions on things. I don’t blame you in the slightest for thinking that way.
I mean, it’s part of it and what tipped me over fully to not wanting to bother with more than surface basic replies from now on. It was not the first time stuff like that happened. It’s very much part of the culture here, at least in the entertainment section. That’s where I generally post in. There’s a lot of dunking on people that’s kind of dickish that just gets waved away as merely a joke. if someone pushes back, others just double down on disregarding and dunking on people. Im well aware that if someone went through alll my posts you’d likely find me doing that exact shit, especially the further back you go. But in recent times I’ve kind of had it with that stuff. It’s just so expected on here that a few weeks back when I just answered someone’s question, that could have been viewed as dumb, with a simple factual answer they thanked me for not dunking on them. It’s wild that they were made to feel that they should thank me for not being a dick. But It’s expected at this point. I just want to be done with all that. while I appreciate the apology, it doesn’t change how I feel about the current vibe and culture of the forum. It’s not any one persons fault. So it’s whatever at this point. like I said above, I’m definitely guilty of it, too. But enough is enough. I want to be better.
I think it might be overlooked because of how short it was but that Agents vs Army gunfight scene in episode 4 fucking ruled.
Yeah this show is gonna put me on a Kate Bush kick which I am more than fine with. Loving this season so far. Just finished episode 4
halfway through this and it's the best season of the show so far. acting, cinematography and writing all just feel on another level. Sadie Sink is a bonafide generational talent just off the first 4 episodes alone. ok time to unsub again adios
I like Max/Steve/Robin but everybody else is kind of annoying me for some reason lol. Will and Mike murder this thing on screen together Still good though don't get me wrong
Eduardo Franco is another guy whose making quite the name for himself a character actor recently. He plays the same stoner character in everything he's in but he's so enjoyable that it doesn't matter. He was great in American Vandal and Booksmart too.
It is the most disconnected plot, yes. But I’m more invested in it than I am the Cali kids plot. I don’t even think they were even in ep 6 or 7. If so, VERY briefly. They are as close to being benched for the season as they can be while still being in the show. At least with Hopper’s story we got to his excellent monologue about being the curse rather than being cursed. Joyce/Murray not as good, but Murray using his black belt skills is kind of hilarious, even if pretty stupid.
