Except for Max. Really funny to see her next to Mike and Lucas who look like they aged 10 years between seasons
i haven’t started season 4 yet, but IIRC, Nancy was a junior in Season 2, as she was a grade below Steve and she was helping him out with his senior essay. And then season 3 takes place that summer, and now this is 6 months after that, so the timeline tracks there. i think the only thing throwing me off is I thought Nancy was a junior in season 1, but I guess she was a sophomore and Steve was a junior…otherwise it doesn’t make sense haha
yea, I definitely thought Nancy and Johnathan had graduated and that’s why they had gotten jobs. But I guess it was just a summer thing cause yea, that was the summer after their junior year. haha yea, Sadie definitely does not look as aged as much as the boys do. You could say, she thought that she could… skate by without repercussions. I’m not sure this is scarier than 3. It was heightened last season. There is definitely more body horror. I do think it is a bit more intense. The ending of 4.4 in particular was wild.
I hate binging because I won’t finish this for a few days and all you dorks probably already have so I can’t actually discuss it in this thread I can just read all your dorky thoughts.
My wife had to look it up while we were watching because off the cuff she said “this guy’s gotta be like 28”. So she went to his imdb page and started laughing. He is in fact 28.
Just finished up. I really enjoyed it. That’s all I feel I’m allowed to say. edit: I’m probably also allowed to say there is a brief teaser trailer for the last two episodes that auto played for me after ep 7.
Man aren’t binge dumps of shows awesome, instead of being able to have actual conversations with everyone watching at the same pace like you do with a weekly show we get to dance around the details and exchange vague statements because we’re all at different places and don’t want to accidentally ruin it for anyone. Anyway I just finished episode 4 and this rules so much.
You guys acting flabbergasted that actors in their late 20's are playing high schoolers like you've never seen any high school movie before. Jasmin Savoy Brown played a high schooler in both Yellowjackets and Scream. She's also 28.
It’s cool how they’ve consistently drawn from different aspects of the 80s milieu in each season, so the feel of the show stays consistent but it never gets same-y
At this point, I honestly don’t think discussion is really wanted in a lot of the entertainment threads. It seems to be discouraged lately. I would have typed up a long post now that I’ve finished up with a bunch of details. But the last time I did that, I was disregarded and mocked for a admittedly dumb comment for that context, while ignoring all my other points of discussion. So I honestly just don’t see the point of sharing deep thoughts or reactions on here anymore. The culture just doesn’t seem to be for that kind of thing. With everything going on these days, on top of my own personal shit, I really don’t need to be worrying if my thoughts on movies and tv are acceptable or valued in any way here. I have MANY thoughts about these episodes and I’ll likely write an incredibly long blog post that garners less discussion, but I won’t have to stress about being judged for whatever I say. I’m not going to stop posting entirely or anything. But any sort of response I post will be very general and super short like I did above. And I’ll answer questions for people if asked and I know the answer. But this is not a space I feel comfortable in sharing much anymore. This post will likely be the last time I post at any sort of length and detail on here. I hope others feel they can still have discussions. It’s kind of the point of all of this. Which makes how I feel kind of sad. Oh well.
