Definitely definitely watch You’re the Worst before Love

 

I will take the opposite stance and say Love is not very good at all

 

I tried Love because Gillian but really did not like it

 

I still need to! That one’s been on the list. The ambivalence in these answers hasn’t really helped my chances of watching Love one way or the other.

 

I like both you’re the worst and love. I’d recommend both

Man, S2 of this show is so much more enjoyable when you skip the episode with Eleven meeting her "sister" altogether.

Also, didn't realize, but S2 has a lotttt of hints at what happens in S3. Several comments that if the Soviets found out what happened in the Hawkins lab that they would try to replicate it.

 

I hope they never reference anything again about that episode. I mean I am sure they will, especially with what they set up regarding Eleven at the end of S3, but yeah, that episode was just bad... I know why they did it, they wanted to manufacturer a cliffhanger in a show that's available to binge, but it just didn't work tonally with the show.

 

People overstate how bad that episode in season 2 is.

 

I think it would have been much better received if it was released as a stand-alone episode

I like that episode a lot.

 

That episode was definitely shoehorned in, too. The season has 9 episodes while the others only have 8. And the episodes flow into each other perfectly when you leave that episode out.

It was just bad

 

The episode actually addressed the most intriguing part of the lore imo, but I get why people dislike it.

I wouldn't say it's offensively awful either, but it's just unenjoyable and makes me impatient to find out what happens next after seeing the demodog's hand reach out of the gate in the lab

 

See...THIS is by far the biggest problem. If it was up earlier, you have the kids figuring out dart, and you have joyce and will figuring out the mindflayer AND eleven finding out about her past all kinda working together. The placement of this episode is it's biggest issue.

 

Thought this was interesting. It excludes the lost sister episode, that’s why there is 8 for each season.

 

What do they rate the season 2 finale though lol

 

Joe Keery dropped a new song today, I really like it

He weirdly did like no promotion for it lmao. Just a quick tease on Instagram yesterday saying "tomorrow." and then today he posted a small clip of the song with no caption, had to dig in the comments to find the name of the song haha

 

Trying to get my father into this so I’m rewatching S1 with him. The scene where El wants Mike to leave the door open while she changes is veeeerrrrry interesting after the three inches stuff. He even said later when she was shut in the closet, “Hey, you can at least leave it cracked for her,” and it was all I could do not to tell him how important a sentence that was.

 

Wondering if the American line in the mid-credits is too on the nose for it to be Hopper? But then again, it feels obvious he didn’t get evaporated and wouldn’t abandon El so what other reason would keep him from coming back to her.

 

It must be Hopper. I mean why are they singling him out as the American when they're literally operating in America lol
