totally caught me off guard

 

so like...he totally goes runaway autotune at the end beneath the lights and what the absolute fuck

 

nothing else to think about already means so much to me. it clicks with some stuff going on in my life that makes me really happy and this song makes me really happy and this band makes me really happy. gonna be an exercise in self control to not overplay the fuck out of it the next week lol.

other faves on my initial listen were pete’s hill and planes in front of the sun

For me it's "Planes In Front of the Sun" holy shit that song climaxes so hard. What a great album.

 

what a genuinely pleasant first listen. this will, without a doubt, be the soundtrack to the rest of summer.

 

"Ranch Style Home" is the sequel to "The Wires" and I'm so fucking here for it

 

you will find me laying on the roof of my building in a haze with this on repeat all weekend and I am honestly living for it.

sure, okay, casually put out your best record. casual. it's cool. im not freaking out at all

 

this was so good i had to put it on again immediately, sunday and ari song are ridiculously strong songs. im glad isaac is singing in a more comfortable register now, it makes the harmonies really shine.

 

what. an. album. there's not one track on hear that doesn't hit me with soem kind of strong emotion. great interview with Fader too.

excited to see the reception to this one on Friday.

 

What the fuck?!? This is their best album and it's not even close, daaaamn.

 

Finally preordered the pink swirl. Couldn’t wait any longer and risk missing out. Feel like they’re gonna blow up. They’re like Pavement and The Beach Boys and R.E.M.

"Planes in Front of the Sun" is like an updated "Car" to me. I can almost hear Doug Martsch singing "I wanna see movies of my dreams" overtop it.

all this is to say that it's one of my favorite songs of the year

 

i know rockets is mostly an interlude but I love it. big spirit of the beehive vibes, to the point I was waiting for the track to melt like they would do, it was uncanny

 

Liking this on my first listen!! Such a nice find

 

Immediately more into this than their last album.
