They just put an EP out a few months ago what the hell!!!!

 

i have listened to this song like 100 times today

 

really like this which is weird bc i definitely remember being lukewarm on the audiotree version when i first heard it but i went back and listened to that and i like it way more than i remembered? weird! excited for this to come out but bummed that it comes after their tour stop here (made up for by being maybe the best tour of the summer anyway)

 

Just when you think this band can’t possibly get any better, they do.

 

wow, this is a lot more...idk, maybe dream-pop? than I was expecting. thinking of early beach house a few times halfway through

"Message to You" is but it could literally be a different band name and I never would have flinched

I really hope this is a big deal, I think they really nailed what they were going for here and I think some of these songs could really catch on with a wide audience. will be perfect for warm summer nights

they played in a bicycle hobby shop is was the most diy thing I’ve ever been to haha. they fucking ruled.

 

So the venue was pretty cool then, huh? How was the turnout?

 

yeah it was cool. they’re sadly about to close though, but it’s not surprising. idk how a shop like that has survived at that location on Greenville as long as it has.

I’d guess there were 50-60 people there but considering the space it was packed

 

How long did they play? Trying to decide if I’m going tonight because I am exhausted from a bunch of other shows. Really want to see them but also really want to sleep.

how was spirit of the beehive @dadbolt? that rules.

 

they played 7 or 8 songs. went on around 9. it’s worth it imo

 

spirit were really cool despite some issues with their mics the first few songs. they were a little flustered by that.

 

bummer they're closing. really cool that they've been hosting shows at a bike shop.

 

I don't know shit about this band, but Spotify recommended Leona and I can't stop playing it and recommending it.

 

you're in for such a treat. Their entire discography is so special.

 

The Sioux Falls stuff is good too so after you dive in to this material I recommend that as well
