they really went for that Pinback vibe on "Pete's Hill", song is straight off Blue Screen Life

 

“Beneath the Lights” -> “Planes in Front of the Sun” is where it’s at

 

My record showed up already, whoa. Ordered on Thursday. Heavier than I thought, though the pink is more solid than I was expecting (thought it was a little clear)

 

Yea I was actually a little disappointed in the pink variant. I thought it would be a paler pink swirl to match the font

 

Nice review on the fork. 7.8 which is about what I was guessing as is standard operating procedures for emo adjacent tunes. Deserves to be 12/10.

Album feels very important. Just gives me those vibes that in 10 years or so people are gonna look back and go yep that was when Strange Ranger became a thing.

 

was hoping it'd get into the low 8s but that's just splitting hairs

 

That score is straight-up ridiculous unders, should have copped an 8.0 easily. Wait for them to have it on the top of their ‘most under appreciated records of 2019’ list once the general critical consensus is that it’s okay to praise this album.

I'm wanting to spam the link in my brother's Facebook and my Discord group until they buckle under the pressure and listen to it. That's a sign of a great album

 

It’s like those lists of “albums you may have missed” when it was in fact them who “missed” it by failing to give coverage

spotify play counts bum me out. everyone in the world needs to listen to this.

 

Bought the vinyl on Amazon a week ago because it was way cheaper there. It never shipped all week and today I got an email saying my order was cancelled... :(

 

their amount of plays on spotify is too damn low for this.

 

after sitting with this for a couple weeks, it’s safe to say “nothing else to think about” is my favorite on here.

 

I feel like Ranch Style Home does not fit on this album very well but at the same time I love it so...

 

This hasn’t even been out a month and I’ve already associated Leona with sad events

 

To me this song sounds like it fits on wood/water by promise ring. But you're right doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the album. Reminds me of how flesh on reverie by seahaven completely stuck out as tonally very different.

 

been revisiting this a ton with the fall weather arriving, still so so good.
