Man I downloaded this album due to the hype on here and I do not get it at all

What a drag to listen to

 

Admittedly, I need to re-listen to it, but it didn’t grab me when I tried either. I would highly recommend listening to Rot Forever (their debut under the name Sioux Falls) and their latest EP tho. Rot Forever is very early Modest Mouse/Built To Spill, even down to the production of it.

 

I'm with you-- I really wish they expanded that part of their sound. I listened to this a couple times upon release but wasn't feeling it at all. I'm hoping whatever they put out next is more in my lane.
