not feeling it. i want the sprawl. i want the mess. these feel too reserved but hopefully they'll grow on me.
i have not. i only ever hear TE stuff once the general press link promos go out. surprised i'm even still on the lists at this point (don't take me off will/chuck, i still use my esteemed forum personality to promote releases hard!!!). i miss the reviewer life. i just can't write regularly, i'd rather be in a more managerial position, i love the contacts part and building relationships and the talking about records but actually putting my thoughts into a full review is something i struggle with these days
Trust me I feel that struggle I’m excited to read your thoughts on this album in this thread whenever you get it - it’s so fucking good which shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone
ughhhhh i need to reach out to people i told them i'd help them get a baltimore show and i've been slacking hard also the day when drew actually respects me enough to want to hear my music thoughts? what a day.
been lisening to rot forever the last few days and i'm really digging it. is there a specific album i should hit up next?
Lights off for Danger. Has some of their best songs on it. Then id do Sunbeams through your head to prepare for the sound of the new album.
this is melancholy for sure. Daymoon is a good name for it, it's gentle and tentative like morningtime before the sun is all the way up. I like it a lot, definitely smaller, more intimate, less sprawling than Rot Forever.
