I have a form of synesthesia called ordinal linguistic personification, so numbers have "personalities" for me and a lot of the even numbers are assholes, so I'll be damned if I set my alarm to end on an even number. Reading back that sentence makes me realize how crazy I sound.
42 is pretty ordinary. Middle-aged and female. Think your next door neighbor you say hi to sometimes. 33 is male and artistic.
Other people's mannerisms in terms of speech, voice and conversation tendencies (and even fictional characters sometimes) frequently rub off on me and I often end up talking to myself like those people or characters. One time it got so prominent that it bled over into actual social interaction and there was this weird period of time where my family was noticing I had this bizarre pseudo-British inflection to my voice because I was watching a lot of British Youtubers at the time. It sounds like bullshit but it actually happened, and I cringe a little thinking about it.
If I have cash in my wallet, every bill needs to be right side up, facing the same way, in order of denomination. And there better not be any folded corners.
It bugs me when they aren't all facing the same way haha. It works out because I use my debit card the majority of the time.
All of my cards are facing straight. As in, you can read it. there isn't room for shenanigans in my wallet haha.
It makes up for the other areas of my life with zero organization. For example, my desk that has recently taken over dresser-duty.
I'm the same way. I used to work at a casino and I worked with a lot of cash that had to be facing so that's how my wallet is. And order of denomination just makes it easier to sort through quickly at the register
Honestly I thought everybody's cash in their wallet was like that? I learned to do that so you can easily read the denominations and count it quickly at a young age.
All about dat plastic. And now that Venmo exist, I don't even have to carry cash in order to pay people back. Only time I withdraw cash is for rent.
Same i never have cash either, only time I get it out is if I'm going to a Baseball game for parking or to the Drive-In because they don't have a CC machine at the Ticket booth.
I almost always pay credit unless cash is absolutely necessary and I think I might win with strange habits, I definitely had pica as a kid, I used to eat napkins and fairly recently still chew on straws and plastic cups
I slept in the top bunk when I was little, and would eat little pieces of the popcorn ceiling we had because I thought it was funny. My parents didn't think it was funny.
Lol in this podunk town I always carry cash. Our old movie theater only took cash and some small businesses only do too. And it's not uncommon I go somewhere and their debit card machine is down so I like backup cash
This isn't a habit but I spend a majority of my time in my room instead of my living room bc I feel more comfortable when there is only one entrance/exit. I can't relax when there are too many and I can't keep an eye on all of them. I am also one of those people who doesn't want a big house. I feel like every room must be used in some capacity or it bugs the shit out of me.
Grew up with Tourrette's, but grew out of anything noticeable in highschool...biggest thing to this day I still do is get a certain word stuck in my head, and I spell it frontwards and backwards over and over...can spell just about anything backwards as fast as most people can do forward. My 8 yr old likes trying to beat me on his spelling words every week but he has to earn the win
