New song is great. Big Ryan Adams vibe going on, which I like for him.

His last one really missed for me. Hoping this is a return to form maybe?

 

Unfortunately, this is true for me as well. Very excited about this new one though. My Morning Jacket as his backing band and Jason Isbell is involved somehow too. Really good stuff. The one song available so far is great. Extremely excited for this.

 

I love Hard Love, you guys are crazy haha. I'm sure no one saw Heal getting as big as it did, so moving on from that must have been hard, and I can totally see why some people checked out. That said, this sounds like a good mix of his early stuff and his more modern leanings. I'm excited for this one. Hope I can catch him on the tour.

 

Strand Of Oaks’ Harder Love Is A Glimpse Of What Hard Love Could Have Been

This article really sums up how I ended up feeling about Hard Love and Harder Love. There were songs sprinkled throughout each of them that I liked a lot but neither one worked for me as an album.

 

Hard Love was great - this new single is incredible and gives a vibe that this record could be something special

honestly thought it was Ryan Adams new stuff when it came on my Release Radar.

 

Did you listen to Harder Love? That was much more enjoyable for me.

 

Okay so holy shit his new song is really really good. I've liked most of his music but this kinda feels like a step up to me

I really like this. This album is going to be something special.

 

I feel bad because this is pretty early, but this is out there now... I don't think I have the self-control to not listen.

Played "Ruby" on Colbert tonight and it was killer...had Isbell, Amanda Shires and 2/5 of MMJ in tow too!

 

This album is absolutely phenomenal.

 

Looking forward to spending time with this later today. I'll definitely report back. Never listened to them before, but saw the Jason Isbell input and got stoked.

 

This album is flooring me atm. His best work IMHO.
