i live on the other side of the state and would have to take off work lol. I have family in the madison area so Saturdays are perfect. Can drive back after the show and stay for the night.
Happy anniversary In the Wake of Determination! I'm listening for the first time today (i know, right) It's great! Just like Page Avenue was/is!
I'm hoping for some more In the Wake vibes from the next album. Tear Me to Pieces didn't have much lasting value for me.
They aren’t doing page avenue in order. Just like the 2013 tour MARSALA: Yeah, and this is going to be one of the first times that we've toured and played every song in its entirety. It won’t be in order, though. We're going to create a setlist around the whole album because our two biggest songs on the record are second and third off the record. But we will be playing every song. And we'll probably try to throw some new songs in there as well and maybe a couple in between.
Yeah. This is the set from when they did it in 2013 Story of the Year Setlist at Mojoes, Joliet guessing it will be similar this time around but with new stuff from the new album
Yeah they should only do 2 new songs and a few from In the Wake/The Black Swan. It’s a crime they aren’t playing The Antidote or Is this my Fate. 5 new songs is a crowd killer.
I’d tend to agree if this wasn’t a tour that’s directly aimed at nostalgia and if it wasn’t a band that rarely tours. Playing five new songs when you haven’t hit a lot of these markets in 10-15 years just doesn’t make a lot of sense.
This isn’t a tour promoting the new album, but we will agree to disagree. I’d figure fan service would be a better strategy to maintain interest after this tour because while I enjoy the new album, it hasn’t been commercially successful. Regardless I’m stoked they are touring for the first time in a long time.
but the new album is fantastic and its been our for awhile now, ive definitely absorbed it! and most of those songs off the new album were released prior to the album being released in march
I love the new album. It’s probably my fave since the Black Swan. That being said, In the Wake is my favorite SOTY album and it’s always bummed me out that the album doesn’t get as much love as it deserves. I would just love some variety and maybe even a longer set for a band that hasn’t toured a ton. I know I’m being a greedy fan and should just be happy they are coming here for the first time since 2008 haha
