Just remembered Greek fire had a song “a real life.”

It's fine. I would've preferred heavier SOTY, though. Had enough pop SOTY on the last album.

Song seems fine to me. It’s classic SOTY doing a catchy rock ballad like on earlier records, but the verses have a more current pop delivery. It makes sense to me. I will say that the intro is kind of like a slower until the day I die riff. At least to my ears.

    Riffs are coming...don't worry.

Has this world stopped asking what it's thinking?

This is not for me, but I get it - it's a lead single.

    I'll wait for da riffs.

Wasn't that music video the one they had fans come out for to be in? Or was that another video they've already filmed?

From all the updates throughout the process, i would assume the rest will be pretty heavy. I like a good balance of everything with these guys.

dig it for what it is as lighter SOTY but I, too, await the riffs.

I miss this band having 2 guitars. They’ve lost so much sound with only having one

new song is good tho. Can’t wait for the album. Wish they had a tour stop close to Chicago

  13. It's fine. They do this type of song well.

I'm always a fan of a fuller sound, but Ryan holds it down exceptionally well, so it's not too damaging in Soty's case.

It’s way different live. I’ve seen them live with both one and 2 guitars. So much is lost by only having one. I wish they would just replace Phil

Just doesn't work for them as a band. Their business model doesn't allow space for a second guitarist at this point, and to them, it's all about their dynamic. Those four guys work really well together. I'm good with it.

So why do we think the same silhouette from Page Avenue is on the key art?

Looks like they have a label for the new album. Now how about a release date?!

They've mentioned a few times they consider this to be a "return to their roots" in some sense. They've also touched on this music being reminiscent of Page Avenue, and they attribute that to Colin Brittain (Producer) having been a fan for so many years.

    Are You Watching Closely?

Emologist is in the band? Or part of the PAC? Haha. Either way, I havent seen them with just a single guitar, but I cant imagine them not piping in backing tracks live by this point... Dont the songs from Wolves have parts that would need to be pumped in anyway?

PAC haha. I went to their triple-header last year and they didn't miss a beat. I can't say with confidence that there weren't any backing tracks, but their musicianship was amazingly tight.

When I saw them for the wolves album release show they played there def wasn’t backing tracks used

They 100% use backing tracks. Synths, gang vox, harmonies, and likely guitars too. Adam is the only one doing back ups and he can't sing like phil.....ya know, cause no one can. lol
