They did a playback of the original demo of Until the Day I Die that was fun for me to hear this week since I dont search for that kinda stuff typically, but i guess it's been on youtube a while
Not really. Just voiced his frustration and sadness with the whole getting fired by management. Doesn’t like how things ended and doesn’t think they should have, but he didn’t air any laundry besides the management call piece and that might have already been out there.
I'd heard it was cause of his wife scandal, but this past week on their pod, Ryan.almost tried to make it seem like he "didnt care" as much as the others. Oh well, Moon was great live. I havent seen them as a 4 piece yet
I think it def has something to do with the Eric Grietens scandal because not only did Phil get kicked out but Ryan also quit Greek Fire at the same time so there’s bad blood somewhere and neither party wants to come clean about it.
Phil did mention he legally can’t divulge much beyond the fact he was let go through a phone call with management. None of them can really talk about it.
I did feel sad when Phil mentioned that he doesn’t talk to any of them anymore, that’s gotta suck on some level to be friends with people almost two decades and then radio silence
Yea...that definitely sucks. The guys mentioned on the most recent podcast that, moving forward, they could never see themselves functioning as a 5 piece. The chemistry and musicianship seemed great when they were a 5 piece...on the surface anyways.
I get they have to say that stuff, but they were always best a five piece. The four piece sound feels like it’s lacking a bit. Perhaps some time will heal things down the road.
They kind of made it sound like the reason why it wouldn't work is strictly related to how strong their friendships are and how difficult it would be to bring in an outsider. There's also the financial aspect too, but I agree, I wish they'd at least have a touring guitarist to beef up their live sets.
Not by name but "previous/past members" was the wording they used. They've mentioned Phil in the past in passing though (as part of stories, nothing good or bad though.... just "matter o factly" if that makes sense)
I dislike how they treat Moon like that on the podcast personally. Like bad blood or not, he played on all their records and was a big part of that band. Maybe he didn’t grow up with them and share the bond the other four have but he deserves better than that.
Haven’t kept up with the details since it first happened a few years ago, but did a little more research. Looks like there were some new revelations recently. If those are legit, i can maybe see why the band wanted to distance itself from the situation.
EXCLUSIVE | Police Source: Woman Who Framed Former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens Guilty Of Perjury, Bribed With Cash Payment. • JoshWho News Don’t know much about this source or credibility, but this is just something I found right away.
Yeah, I’m gonna go with not credible on that, especially since it’s trying to vindicate Greitens, who’s trying to run for Senate at the moment.
