Agreed. Also, glad they rallied back with Wolves being so awesome

 

I wouldn't say Wolves brought back the aggression. Half the album is like slower tempo songs. It's nice to try new things but I feel like for a post-hardcore band their fans want more heavy stuff.

 

Wolves as a whole was great and a huge step up over constant. I’ll also refute the ‘their fans want more heavy stuff’. I’m a fan of all their stuff and I love wolves. And I know many of people who feel the same.¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You can like both sides.

Wolves was great return album for them i think it was probably the best produced album since Page Avenue which is still a great album to listen to to this day.

Is it me or does "bang bang" sound similar to a The Used song?? (or vice versa?) I just hear that myself...i think there IS a similar song by The Used...on the newest album, maybe (?)

 

That guitar solo in How Can We Go On is fantastic.

 

Haven't listened to their discography in a while but the first song that came to mind is this one

I think it sounds similar to Bang Bang

 

That's one of my most favorite tracks of theirs! Except I'm listening to something else atm (Blink's ST) to do a proper comparison and/or remember what I recalled. Like I said, I was thinking the new album...I do also need to give that a listen again soon, because I have yet to make sure my new disc works. lol

edit: I'm having a feeling it might have been this, but it could just be the lyrics (??)

nooo, it isn't that one. hmm...maybe you were right...or maybe this new one (??) the second half. it's similarly heavy. maybe I won't figure it out today. The fact remains, it's a BANGer! (pun intended) :P

haha! ok, my final guess...it could have very well just been a "and the hero will drown" that I was thinking of ha! BUT, I find that one also kinda sounds like "Take It Away", so it could have been a bit of both...but the fact still remains, it's a BANGer! ;)

Anyone know of a copy of Wolves on vinyl that's available at a reasonable price?

 

Just here to let anyone who's interested know that a copy of the 2002 EP is for sale on Discogs right now, for a reasonable price. I payed like four times the amount for my copy five years ago.

 

I still need Wolves on vinyl :(

 

As I understand it they go for about 100 dollars now according to Discogs. Luckily I pledged for a copy early on.

 

Yeah I wasn't quite as in to vinyl when they did their campaign. Missed out I guess. I have seen a few at that price or more on ebay. Just a bit more than I want to pay. I would maybe pay $75 at then most. Who knows. Maybe someday lol.

Yeah I bought one from the pledge, and then from their nightmare after Christmas show last year. One signed one not. I have one away to my friend who newly got into them and was sad he couldn’t afford the vinyl

I would message the band or Ryan Phillips and ask if he'll sell you one. They are diy now.

 

I emailed Ryan a while back (used his website email), but never heard back :(
