I had to pay quite a lot to get it, like $300 or something, which is eight times as much in Norwegian currency. After All Time Low's The Party Scene, it's the second most rare and expensive CD in my collection.
You don't want to hear how/where I got my copy..... found one around the Page Avenue days in a used cd shop here in STL for like 5 dollars
Should be a fun time. Although this will be the first time I’ve seen them with only one guitar. Slight concern for me haha.
Same here so it should be interesting I have live in the Lou 2 and they only hand Ryan on guitar. They lost some of the energy and loud sound they had with only playing with one guitar
Not trying to be a conspiracy theorist here, but does anybody know if Phil/Moon is moving away from SOTY? I'm following both Ryan and Moon on instagram, and Ryan is always sharing pics of himself, Dan and Josh, and never Moon (even when there's SOTY stuff going on). Moon's instagram doesn't even say he's playing in SOTY anymore, just mentions Greek Fire and Goldfinger. And he tags his images with Greek Fire and Goldfinger, not SOTY. I don't know, I'm probably reading waaaaayy to much into this
Yeah, you seem to be correct. And he probably has a lot more non-SOTY on his plate than the other guys, with the radio show, goldfinger etc.
Hmmm. I don’t know why he would remove SOTY from his bio unless he wasn’t with them anymore. I guess we should just wait and see if they announce something. I’ll be really bummed if they lose another member.
Unless something happened in the last 2 weeks since Their 2 record release shows he’s still with them
I am sad to admit that he looked pretty bored/non-chalant at their Chicago show. The only time he ever really got into it was when they covered MCR and he took the mic and jumped into the crowd. On bass he looked borderline miserable.
I can only imagine how boring it would be "ranking down" to bass duty after all those years playing the cool rhythm guitar parts. I always loved how they mixed it up and wrote such harmonizing guitar parts, and would let the bass do the basic rhythm part. At least in Goldfinger he is the lead guitarist, and in Greek Fire he's the lead singer. That being said, I hope he's not planning on leaving SOTY. Having seen live videos of them playing now as a four piece doesn't sound that good anymore. I mean, their music (at least what came before Wolves) demands the sound of two guitars.
That’s kind of what I was thinking. The other bands are probably way more fun for him now. Still, with the limited amount of touring SOTY does, you would think he could stay in the band for that. Of course, this is all speculation since there’s been no announcement or anything haha. I definitely miss the second guitar.
I get how they didn't want to bring anyone new into the band, but I echo what everyone said and it's been a bummer that Phil is so stationary playing bass now and the songs suffer a little bit because of it. Honestly its amazing that Ryan moves around as much as he does playing all the guitar parts.
As much as I like 5 song sets, I'd much rather see a co headline. They could call it the Wolves Tour!
