That's maybe overall my least favorite SOTY song if I ranked every single song they've done. Well, maybe 2nd to last in front of Unheard Voice. Talking to Mike Cronin (of The Eternal Battle for Mike Cronin's soul fame) at the last concert, he said Save One was his favorite as well so you have the number 1 SOTY fan on your side
The Virus is easily one of their best songs. Your Unsung Friend is pretty damn sweet and I like it more than Tonight We Fall. I really wish all of The Black Swan’s bonus tracks were available on Apple Music. Turn Up the Radio has one of Ryan’s best solos.
I remember being disappointed by The Constant at the time, but Remember The Time always stood out. It's so different from the rest of their discography. It sounds like it could be a theme from a 80's cop drama or a sitcom. I'm not familiar with Weezer outside of the last few albums, but it also always reminded me of that band.
B-sides ranked: Save One Turn Up the Radio The Virus Never Let It Go The Truth Shall Set Me Free Tonight We Fall The Heart of Polka Is Still Beating Your Unsung Friend Unheard Voice If A Silent Murder/Slow Jam counts as a B-side I'd put it at number 2. I know it's not on all editions of ITWOD.
It's not? That's crazy. It's part of the actual album! I'd probably go: The Virus Your Unsung Friend Tonight We Fall Turn Up the Radio (this one grew on me a ton, esp since the Bracket we did where I got back into it) The Truth Shall Set Me Free The Heart of Polka Is Still Beating Never Let It Go Save One Unheard Voice
Took a look at the first few pages of this thread and this is my reaction to hearing I Swear I'm Ok for the first time lol. I've grown on the song for sure and love it, and has replaced Anthem of Our Dying day for me as their go to slow build anthemic style song. I still stand by the statement that we waited too long to not have more How Can We Go On and Bang Bangs lol.
Man, I really hope I get to see them bust out Sleep live some day. It seems like it was meant for being played live, esp the back half of the song. The last few years they have busted out some songs I never would have thought, so there is hope!
So since my post the Black Swan is on Australian Spotify! Not sure if a coincidence or what but I'm happy!
Haha I doubt it but you never know I guess. Now for my next mission, Spotify Oz doesn't have Stay What You Are either. Not all heroes wear capes my friends
It breaks my heart that Phil's name isn't even mentioned in that big paragraph about how Adam came back.
