It sounds like double or triple the work haha and I'm no drummer but it has to be so hard. Thb Josh's drums sounded great on all 5 albums to me and I can't the difference this time around...I'm sure a drum major can though.
Was hoping their next video would be How Can I Go On but no sweat since I know its filmed already and I'll see it down the line.
Praying for Rain video was ok. Nothing great and could have done more with it since it's such a dynamic song. I feel weird complaining about getting more SOTY though.....
It just was added to their Youtube channel earlier today actually! I liked Bang Bang a lot more than this video. I felt like they only filmed like 3 takes of everything and put it together pretty quickly.
I really embraced this record today, I think it clicked with me more. Its definitely my favorite from this band
Yeah the video didn't do much for me, but at the same time, it's just Ryan making stuff on his own, so I can't really complain either.
We Don't Care Anymore, The Antidote, Is This My Fate, Welcome to Our New War, Pay Your Enemy and Won Threw Ate.
For a top 10, I'd keep both in there and add The Dream is Over, Choose Your Fate and maybe The Hero Will Drown 10 Year Version.
Angel In The Swamp The Antidote I Swear I’m Okay Is this My Fate Cannonball Until The Day I Die New War Miracle Anthem Hero
I always liked We Don't Care anymore pretty well, but after this bracket/new album got me back into their discography hard, I've come around to thinking it's among their best for sure. The song structure is so good and gets me pumped. I love the metal style chugs riffs in the verse that normally don't sound like they belong in a song like this. The harmonizing vocals during the last chorus give it an epic feel too. Also nothing to do with the song, but it's their best music video hands down.
Wolves hasn't grown on me enough to have it top anything off the 4 albums yet. My Home, Part of Me, Miracle and How Can We Go On are creeping though lol. Surprised but happy to see the heavy tracks War and Fate on your list though
to quote the In The Wake booklet notes on that song "Phil sings higher on that song than any human man should be able to" lol.
Angel in the Swamp The Antidote The Black Swan Choose Your Fate “Is This My Fate?” He Asked Them Our Time is Now Take Me Back The Virus Welcome to Our New War Won Threw Ate I feel pretty good about this top 10.
I can dig it. The Black Swan didn't get enough credit in the bracket. Such a great song. Happy I was able to see it live twice.
I really can't wait for you to get to songs like Lungs Like Gallows, Wolves at the Door, Irish Eyes and Snake Eyes in the Senses Fail Bracket. You will be in awe with the music musicianship on the later songs.
My top 10. Had to modify it a little after Wolves came out. 1. Welcome to Our New War 2. "Is This My Fate?" He Asked Them 3. Wake Up the Voiceless 4. Choose Your Fate 5. A Part of Me 6. Our Time Is Now 7. Terrified 8. The Antidote 9. Sidewalks 10. The Children Sing
