Finally got around to listening to this thing. - sounds straight out of 2006, and in a genuine away. - I couldn't get through the whole thing. Haha
To be fair, I missed the original SOTY boat back in the day. After the first Used album, I stopped listening to this kind of stuff. I never got into SOTY, MCR, all of that. But like I said, this album sounds genuine. It doesn't sound like they're TRYING to sound like they did back in the day, and I can respect that. But I couldn't get through the whole thing. I have 4 more songs to listen to...someday. :)

I did that interview with Dan & Ryan, so thanks for the kind words! At the very end of the phone call, Ryan actually thanked me for 'knowing my shit' about SOTY, so that felt good. And yeah - the touring thing makes sense, but it is a bummer, obviously. But as a fully independent band or whatever, I can see 'getting in the van & heading around the country' being nothing but a money drain, really...
Yeah great interview. It's always good to read interviews where the interviewer actually asks questions that fans are interested in rather than the stock interview questions you always see.
