Remember when they did their 10 year tour and it flopped? I sure do. Really surprised that they're gonna give this another shot.
Hoping their statements about no longer aiming for a hit etc translate to a killer, aggressive record.
If this band tried to write a "hit" does it count? Considering we know it wouldn't end up being a "hit" anyway.
Well Until the Day I Die was a big hit. Then after that they had continual label pressure to match it even though they wanted to move in a heavier direction. Now that pressure is off. And as absurd as it is to think this band could release a hit in 2016, there was external pressure for just that.
The Constant (particularly "Remember A Time" and "Holding On To You") is one of my fondest memories of my miserable 10th grade. Can't believe it's been almost seven years...
Oh no, that's tragic. Their set was amazing. Being from STL, they always sell out here so I guess it's hard to judge.
Right, but that was - at the latest - six years ago when their last record came out. I'm not sure if they could have a big hit in 2016 if they tried, is my point.
Agreed and they shouldn't go for it IMO, just write a good record. They are really good at doing that.
