It felt like a hybrid of livestream and their podcast, which I love so I was all about the constant joking around between songs.
I miss their podcast. Im shocked they didnt bring it back at the release of TMTP to at least talk about it candidly after we had all heard it
I enjoyed the podcast when it focused on the music, and then it turned into just dick jokes and drunk stories.
Kayzo is a super hard romhack of Super Mario World that involves deathtraps, insane reflexes, and mastery of the game's mechanics. ... Oh wait, that's Kaizo. Then it's this guy. Kayzo - Wikipedia
They do seem underrated. I visit the pop punk and post hardcore sub reddits a lot and I've noticed they are barely mentioned, it's weird. I feel like people don't know they have other good albums outside of PA I don't know if this is a hot take but I found TMTP to be their second best album yet. That album should have done more for them
i agree it's so good, i played it more than i thought i would because wolves wasn't that great, it was good, but the new one was all killer no filler imo. my friend are in a cover band and play hits from the genre mcr, fob, killers, simple plan, paramore, cartel, etc. i saw them once and they covered 'until the day i die' and i went hard for it because they dont play it as much as the others but the time allowed the set to be longer this time, and some younger guy came up to me and i was like hey i saw you goin hard for SOTY, i thought you were a real one, bought me a drink, and he hung out with my and my friend on and off through the rest of the night haha
Always bums me out how much people only talk about Page even though I've always found both Black Swan and In The Wake to be better albums.
The fact that they pretty much disappeared immediately after the release of this album is still baffling to me. Seemed like they had a bit of momentum again between the Patreon/podcast and the album being received pretty well, did they even do a proper tour for it? All I remember is yet another Page Ave tour.
No and it sucks. Album rips and they're already onto another. I liked the Pod quite a bit too until it the last month or so of it
I'm not sure how they disappeared? Assuming these numbers are accurate, Setlist.fm shows they played 53 shows in 2023 and 63 shows in 2024. Seems pretty active to me.
Think cause they also were support on those tours... I was hoping for a headline run and don't recall seeing a headline run for the album... i know they did a lot of one offs and a cruise or 2 also i think
