Someone in the tour thread posted they are doing a 20 year tour for page avenue that’s being split into 2 legs fall this year and January next year
I can't disagree that a lot of their songs are formulaic and generic, but their self-titled album, Black Lines, and Sunnyland are all fantastic. Unfortunately they generally ignore the hell out of those albums for live shows.
This IG story killed me https://instagram.com/stories/story...e=ig_story_item_share&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
For my money, this band joking around is funnier than Blink to me. I miss their podcast and hope they pick it back up before the PA tour.
Not as far as I know, and it seems like a bit of wasted opportunity, they had a ton of momentum building up to the release of the new album and then just kind of disappeared.
This band really hasn't had momentum since those early Page Avenue days. It's too bad since all their releases are solid. Hopefully that Yellowcard tour being so successful got them some new fans.
I am shocked there's still PA 20th Anniversary tix still available in Chicago. Wife's never seen them and only knows the hits, so this might be a no-brainer to go.
Have they ever not sounded incredible live? I is just as good as I remember seeing them 15 years ago. also how else is playing guitar live? also also where are all the backflips?
Sick, I hope they release all three of the livestreams. It was great seeing them play some of those deep cuts from In the Wake and Black Swan.
Seeing how great they still sound on these livestreams has me excited for this tour. I’ve only seen them once at Warped in 2008 and they were absolutely one of the most energetic sets I’ve ever seen. I’m still shocked they are doing such an extensive tour after not touring regularly for most of the past 10 years. It’s been 15 years since they’ve been to the NW.
SOTY is easily one of the best live bands of their ilk. Incredibly fun showmanship from all of them the entire time.
SOTY is, and has been my favorite band since 2007. Their live performances have always impressed me both in terms of musical skills and energy. I had no idea a livestream concert could sound this good. The only thing I didn't like about those livestreams was the "trying to be more blink-182 than blink-182" jokes between songs. The SOTY guys are funny for sure, but that type of humour doesn't fit their music IMO. That aside, the livestreams of ITWOD and TBS were absolutely perfect. I'm sure they will eventually share each song from those streams as well, but right now they'll just focus on Page Avenue for obvious reasons. I love SOTY.
