I was lucky enough to see them 3 times with Scott and they never disappointed.

Not going to that State Theater show has always haunted me.

 

Still Remains is such a perfect song. Definitely the most underrated song of theirs.

Waiting for my copy of the Super Deluxe version to arrive. This is probably my favorite album of all time so I jumped on it immediately.

It creeps me out how much this dude sounds (and looks/acts) like Scott Weiland.

Not in a bad way, just legitimately like a carbon copy of him.

What's with all these slow songs??

 

Supposedly the whole new album is primarily acoustic. Kind of a strange decision but I’ll give it a shot lol

 

My favorite 90’s group by far. Lucky to see them twice and the 2nd time was the infamous Woodlands show where he was an hour late and announced he was going to rehab.

 

Anyone given “Perdida” a listen yet? I actually like it a lot... much more than I was expecting to.

 

I haven’t listened yet, but I’m going in with very low expectations

 

Scott’s son’s band with Slash’s son on drums and Robert Trujillo’s son on bass I believe.

He sounds so much like Scott it’s insane.

 

Yeah, that’s a wild resemblance haha! Song itself is decent but his voice sounding so much like his dad’s gave me chills.

 

I dig the next generation sound.

I need to do a STP discography run. I used to love STP as a kid. The main lead part in Interstate Love Song was the first lead riff I ever learned on guitar.

 

You should be pleasantly surprised at how well the first 5 albums in particular hold up. Tiny Music is near perfection.

And Shangri-La Dee Da is absolutely underrated. They are/were an incredible band.

 

Random bump but I’ve been revisiting these guys a ton this week. “Silvergun Superman” is a track from Purple that doesn’t get discussed enough imo... might be my favorite STP song and one of my favorite grunge era songs overall.
