The Stone Temple Pilots have released their first song with new singer Jeff Gutt. The song, called “Meadow,” can be streamed below via Rolling Stone.

Song is okay. Crazy how much Jeff sounds like Scott.

I definitely think the STP name should’ve be retired at this point, though.

 

Yeah, honestly they could have posted this and said this is a old song we dug up while Scott was in the band and I would have believed it.

 

This is pretty good and this guy really sounds like Scott. That being said I generally don't like when bands move forward with a singer trying to replicate the previous singers vocals on new music. When playing the old songs live, I can understand it.

 

Saw a video of him doing acoustic old STP stuff, honestly sounds like 98% match for Scott

 

Holy crap it's the guy from Dry Cell, haha.

Prophetically, Dry Cell had an STP cover on a Nascar compilation back in 2002.
