Also reading Four Past Midnight. Langoliers was fun. On Secret Window, Secret Garden now. Have no idea what the third story is about except for the title and I already ready The Sun Dog earlier this year and it was pretty silly, but had some good Castle Rock stuff.
Found a dope used book store in an old warehouse in an industrial part of town and picked up Under the Dome and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. They had a bunch of hardcover Dark Towers for really cheap that I will be back to get soon.
The Stand was so so doggone good. Several places there towards the end really got to me. Had to put it down and walk away from it for emotional reasons a few times. I did The Eyes of the Dragon earlier this year but think i’ll go to The Talisman next and follow along with Jimmy Mango’s prescribed order
For Christmas I always get my mom a Stephen King book, but it looks like he didn't release one this year. Anyone have any horror recommendations that are in the vein of a King novel?
Reading The Library Policeman. Jesus Christ, Stephen. At least I had been prepared for the scene in IT.
Also Kindle editions of The Shining and The Long Walk that I still never finished. I will probably do next.
Finished The Running Man. Liked the first 2/3rds. Didn't care so much for the final act. The stuff with the hostage and plane and whatnot. I haven't seen Edgar Wright's adaptation but he apparently changes the ending and I get why. Besides the obvious 9/11 parallels it just isn't a very good King ending.
Just finished Salem’s Lot. It rocked. Apart from that I’ve also finished Misery, Carrie, Pet Sematary and Under the Dome. Where should I go next?
I'm going to recommend reading The Dark Half first if you want to get more out of Pangborn's journey.
At first I was feeling really blase on The Talisman but the more I'm progressed, the more I find myself really enjoying it. Excited to wrap this up and then get back to DT3
