They fixed your brain when you were young.

As much as I also disliked and agree with your qualm, I was so happy Mike and Mattie didn't end up together. That storyline was so weird to me and honestly made me severely dislike Mike. But I agree, it's a fun read and definitely feels like a classic, though not top tier.

Started reading Revival last week and am a little over half way through. Absolutely loving it. Feeling like it could end up in my top 5 King if it finished strong.

    Revival ends insanely strong

This is what I've heard. Trying to stem my excitement and not get carried away, but I'm super interested in where this goes.

Revival has one of those King endings that is batshit crazy, but deeply unsettling to the point that years later I still think about it.

Yep, agreed. I read this when it came out and I still remember feeling unsettled in a way many books don’t really make me feel!

Is this on Hulu or something or did you rent/buy it?

  12. I still haven't watched The Institute adaptation yet. The two King fans in my life both have been digging it so I'm excited. I have to watch the second Alien Earth episode tonight, so maybe I'll start it tomorrow.

Ah ok. It’s not showing near me anymore and it’s to buy/rent now. I don’t want to pay $9.99, so I might get it from the library.

I'm like 120 pages in to Heart-Shaped Box and kinda of struggling to get into it. It's creepy enough, but boring setting and not very enjoyable characters.

I saw this scrolling on Facebook. I always thought a Coheed tattoo would be my first, but this has me thinking Dark Tower…simpler though haha

That’s my least favorite of Joe’s books. Still enjoyed it, but it doesn’t compare to Nos4atu or the Fireman.

  18. I’m 300 pages into The Stand and it’s just okay so far. Where does it really pick up like everyone says it does?

  19. I’ve really been mulling over what kind of Dark Tower tattoo I want since I finished the series. I have like 25 tattoos and I can never decide on a King one.

Still only 200 pages into Wizard And Glass. I'm just not finding myself wanting to read. I go to lunch every day and sit down to read and maybe get a few pages. Meh

Yeah I have about 100 pages left of 11/22/63 and it’s well written I’m just not invested at all. I couldn’t put down under the dome and I’m not even reading this one every day.

like I don’t know what’s going to happen but I know where the story is headed so it’s just not that compelling to me, the stuff about him just living life back then is more enjoyable than the JFK stuff

If it helps, its considered one of his best endings.
