Just rented Joyland on the library app. Excited to check it out

 

Finished Wolves of the Calla yesterday. I’m gonna be so bummed when I finish this series.

 

Did you do Wind Through the Keyhole between Wizard and Calla? Finished Wizard a few weeks ago and I think I'm gonna hold off on Keyhole until after I wrap up the series because I want to jump back into the main story.

 

I’m waiting to do Keyhole at the end. Might even reread Gunslinger before Keyhole.

 

Was at the Stanley yesterday.

 

I know this is from almost a month ago, but just coming back to say I think Needful Things is one of my favorite, most underrated King books.

Just absolute small-town chaos all derived from character to character interactions.

 

My buddy stayed there over the winter and I was so jealous.

 

Needful Things was my first King book. I love it

Still haven't read The Dark Half

 

It's not really essential to read The Dark Half before Needful Things, so much as I think you get so much more out of Alan Pangborn's journey if you read one before the other. He comes out of the first book a different person, and you see that reflected in how he acts in Needful Things, I feel.

 

@Penlab I have some good news for you regarding a certain book I am about 160 pages in!

I truly have no idea why like 4-5 years ago I started the Dark Half and never finished, but I am re-visiting it and obviously love it thus far.

Is there any Stephen King I should read before jumping into The Dark Tower?

 

not before no, there is a discussion on this awhile back but if you want to do the extended reading order you don’t have to think about it until book 3

Oh fuck, I saw Hiddleston and Hammill were announced the other day and thought, hey cool, but did not see Flanagan's name. Hell yes.

 

Honestly can't remember if I liked that short.

 

It's not the first story I'd pick for an adaption but the cast and Flanagan are enough for me.

 

I’m just hoping for some eventual news on the Salem’s Lot movie! Hoping sometime this year in September/October.

My fiancee walked past a Take A Book, Leave a Book kiosk in our neighborhood and snagged me Skeleton Crew and Insomnia! I read SC way back in high school so I might cherry pick some stories to revisit. Any read Insomnia.... any good?

 

It's alright, not his best, but I'm a sucker for a giant King book.

 

Anyone read Owen King's The Curator? I've had it on my wishlist and it just went on sale so I grabbed it.

 

Never ready anything by Owen or Joe sadly.
