I just finished The Outsider, I really enjoyed it and it was a much quicker read than The Stand for me. I had no idea it was related to the Bill Hodges novels. I think next up I'm doing the dark tower series. But it'll have to wait until after kingdom hearts 3
Ah does this mean I'll need to finally get around to reading Part 3 of the trilogy first? Or is the connection minor?
It will very much spoil the third book. Read it first. The connection is big but it wasn't mentioned prerelease. Nice little surprise.
Finished Elevation this week. Going back to the Hearts in Atlantis audiobook now. Love this book so much.
The Stand is one of my all time favorite books but man I'm torn here. King's adaptations can be real hit or miss and I'm unaware of how CBS All Access works. Since its their digital platform do they still adhere to the PG13 rated stuff like all their stupid cop shows? I want an HBO adaptation not a corny network TV version. Plus I don't want to pay for another streaming service haha.
I think the 600 extra pages may have played a role in it being quicker lol. But the Dark Tower series rules!! Book 4 is easily my favorite.
Ah I see. I've never watched a CBS All Access show so not really sure what to expect. Probably be a long time before it comes out anyways.
Watched Christine and The Dead Zone today. Enjoyed both of them and I’m excited to talk about them on the podcast. Still need to dive into reading Pet Sematary. Movies are just so much faster to get through.
It does. Too bad it'll be a while before I can get to it hah. I really need to just set aside a weekend to binge read so I can get things moving a little faster.
Sorta sounds like what could happen if you got caught in Doctor Sleep and were brought to a “secondary location.”
So my nana would buy me a Stephen King every year as we had a shared loved of reading. She couldn't stand him (too waffley) but she knew he was my favorite writer. Anyway, she passed away in October, and I told my girlfriend how she would do this and this year I wouldn't have one. For Christmas she got me Elevation and inside, as a book plate, she had used a picture of my nana. Honestly it was one of the sweetest things. Yesterday would have been her 85th birthday, so I poured a glass of wine and read it cover to cover (never mind that I'm currently 3/4 through sleeping beauties the last book my nana got me). TL;DR Elevation is a great read, I cried
Hey, me too! It was pretty strange in a good way. I love the cover as well. Feel like I recognize the artist from comics or something
Working my way through Liseys story. I have read almost all king but have been putting this one off. It’s slower and has some filler but I’m interested to see how I feel after another 250 pages!
