This is a great blog I just found that any fan of The Stephen King Cast will love, I’m sure The Truth Inside The Lie
Started The Dead Zone today. Hoping I can get through it this week and still have time for another book of his before the year ends.
finished The Shining, loved it. I haven't seen the movie in a while, but I might enjoy the ending in the film a bit more. we'll see, going to rewatch Salem's Lot and then I want to watch The Shining movie and tv movie. not sure which Stephen King I'll read next, maybe start Dark Tower.
I’ve read 13 Stephen King books in 2017. I’m taking a breather from him but I’m also excited because I still have The Stand, Under the Dome, Salem’s Lot, and the Green Mile just waiting for me on my bookshelf!
I am two books away from getting to the Bazzaar of Bad Dreams short-story collection. Anyone read that?
Halfway through Doctor Sleep after having just read The Shining, and man is this a totally different book, in a great way.
awesome I just finished The Shining recently and am hoping to jump into that soon. Also just bought 11.22.63
For $20 I just bought at a used book store: - Lisey’s Story - Hearts in Atlantis - Duma Key - End of Watch - Rose Madder All nearly brand new condition and all hardcover!
I picked up his fantasy novel, The Eyes if the Dragon, from my local second hand shop on a whim but couldn’t get more than 30 pages in. Pretty bummed because I was interested to see his style in another genre but I just couldn’t get into it.
Found Dreamcatcher for like $3 hardcover in excellent condition. Figured I’d buy it even though haven’t heard much about it. Any good?
I see what you mean by it not being a popular book from fans as I was reading reviews on GoodReads and they ain’t forgiving. But regardless, I’m beginning to read it now! Didn’t realize it may involve UFO’s!
King himself doesn't like it. I also fucking adore the movie. One of the best casts ever (for an all male cast)
Damn that’s sad to know he doesn’t like it. Of the 14 King books I’ve read I’ve only slightly disliked one so far (Doctor Sleep). I’m 80 pages into Dreamcatcher and enjoying it thus far! Lots of mystery and questions with some good suspense.
Dr. Sleep movie incoming ‘The Shining’ Sequel ‘Doctor Sleep’ Coming to the Big Screen With Horror Favorite Mike Flanagan Directing
Yeah Doctor Sleep is way more weird and expansive than the relatively self-contained Shining. I feel like this would do better as a miniseries than a movie.
