yeah I'm pretty excited. huge fan of b&w films. the way the opening scene of casino royale is shot, I'd give anything to have an entire Bond movie filmed with the b&w noir aesthetic. Can't wait to watch Logan and Mad Max Fury Road in b&w. but it really films like the b&w will suit The Mist incredibly well.
Logan was confirmed by the studio and Mad Max has already been done https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LTHM352/?tag=absolutepunk-20
Glad I asked first! Any other shows worth giving a shot then? I was mainly interested because it said Brian K. Vaughan did the show and I love his comics.
Do you just mean shows in general? Because You're the Worst is the best show on TV and everyone needs to watch it. I had totally forgotten that BKV was attached to Under the Dome. Crazy.
I just meant Stephen King shows. I've heard I need to watch You're the Worst, though. I did watch 11/22/63. I might have watched Dead Zone but I can't recall really.
Yeah. I have it, but I decided that I'll be attempting to read through chronologically. So it'll be a while before I get to it.
Yeah 11/22 was great. For some reason I never really had any interest in the Dead Zone, adore the book and heavily rec it, and love the movie but never checked out the show. I haven't really heard much about it, quality wise. If you want to see some great Mini-series, Storm of the Century is an original story and it's fucking incredible, I mean cheesy acting and stuff but King's storytelling is top notch. Rose Red is also very good, though I haven't seen it in awhile and can't promise it holds up. I actually really want to watch that now, ha. I remember Kingdom Hospital being good but I can't remember if they ended it or not, I remember there was some controversy. I can't think of any other series related stuff though, there was Haven that was loosely inspired by Colorado Kid but I never saw it and heard it really had nothing to do with it. there was Nightmares and Dreamscapes that had some good stuff in it that was like 8 hour long stories from his short story collection.
So much Stephen King stuff to keep track of, hah. Have you seen the huge flow chart that was posted recently?
