Re-reading The Body and found a little continuity error.

Earlier when Gordie shoots the trash cans and they run off to find Vern and Teddy, it says Chris tells them the whole story and they have a good laugh.

Later after they set up camp and eat, Chris pulls out some ciggies for everyone and it says the gun is in the bottom of his pack and since Chris hadn't told Vern and Teddy about it, Gordie guesses it was their secret.

  4. Not sure if anyone listens to Last Podcast on the Left (horror pod) but Stephen King and Joe Hill were on together for Father's Day. I just started listening to it this morning. It's not up on YouTube yet unfortunately.

It would be kind of cool if it tied in other King stories like Firestarter.

It would be much cooler if Flanagan did the Dark Tower instead

The more hits he has, the more likely he’ll get the money to do it.

I hope so. I am probably just salty that we are getting ANOTHER version of Carrie instead of many other better King choices in his expansive catalog

  11. Started The Talisman today. Always feels right to read a big King book in the summer.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

iirc he's in negotiations with Amazon to get a full run of several seasons confirmed from the start and they're kind of at a stalemate. he's taking on pretty much any King project that comes his way because if they end up being successful it's more likely Amazon will blink and give him the seasons Dark Tower needs

  13. From what I understand, Flanagan has a deal with Amazon which seems to be a "one for you, one for us" kinda thing. Carrie was priority, and then The Dark Tower comes later. He's being super ambitious about it especially now that Harry Potter got greenlit for HBO the way it did. He wants to follow that model and do seven seasons for seven books. That's a huge ask for any studio but from everything I read, it seems like it's going to eventually happen.

Flanagan is also doing another version of The Mist for Warner Brothers, which I also imagine is a priority at the moment. He said he wants a totally new approach to separate it from the Darabont one.

Flanagan is the King whisperer. I will continue to trust him until he gives me reason not to, haha.

  14. I just saw this post after I posted mine but yeah you nailed it. I think it's going to eventually happen because of his track record of success with King's work, but it's such a huge ask. Harry Potter being approved in that style helped him a lot I think.

I just want to see Blaine onscreen and i want him to be voiced by Hamill

  16. In my brain I see two very cool castings: Keke Palmer as Susannah and Austin Abrams as Eddie. It makes sense in my brain.

For Roland and the Man in Black, I can see 50 different scenarios. Man in Black can be so many different actors depending on the direction they want to go. David Dastmalchian is a cool one I saw.
