I inherited the Greatest Hits double vinyl from a friend’s parents like a year ago and have spun it from time to time when I want some funky background jams. Currently I’m getting over a really bad Covid spell and fuck this is hitting so hard. The production of their music is so therapeutic and makes me wish I grew up in the 70s so bad.

I am long overdue to dive into full albums. Aja is the clear starting point, right?

I dunno about y’all but I think “Glamor Profession” is one of the coolest songs this band ever made.

Funny this thread gets bumped just as i'm having a Dan sesh.

Realised today that i've been severely underrating The Royal Scam. Great fucking record.

 

That and Aja are the S+ tier Dan for me

 

I'll have to check out The Royal Scam. I only ever listen to Aja and occasionally the first LP. Aja is one of my go to records to spin while getting baked and cooking.

 

All their record from 72-80 are worth checking out imo, but Royal Scam might be my favorite overall. Only one I don't return to much is Countdown to Ecstasy.
