Singles: Pre-order for digital: Ferried Away, by Stay Inside Pre-order for Vinyl: Ferried Away - LP Pre-Order
Trying not to listen to the singles too many times. Really looking forward to hearing the rest of this.
Why are albums dropping on a random Wednesday, trying to get on the list for best albums of the month?
I love this. I don’t know if it’s going top Viewing, but Viewing is in my top 10 of the decade so far. Can’t wait to spend more time with this.
I want to give Gulfer and Mannequin Pussy some attention but like I legitimately can’t stop listening to this.
The songwriting on this is so good. I can’t stop listening to this. I have some minor quibbles with some production choices though. Some of the guitar and drum parts seem to lack the oomph that they should have. There are certain riffs and drum parts that feel like they should punch through harder. I don’t know much about production and how they would go around doing this though. Make those parts louder in the mix? Make them more echoe-y? (lol at my bad descriptive terms) Also, I like 90% of the trumpet parts but occasionally it seems like they over use it and it would be more impactful if they used it more sparingly.
I know what you're talking about but it didn't bother me too much. Lots of things you could do to them, no idea what would actually work - more or different compression, more or different reverb, more multitracking of the same part/layering different guitar tones and drum sounds on top of each other, saturating the sound more, using EQ to get more separation between instruments, changing the volume of parts in the mix, etc. are all options. Overall though, the mix is clean and it works for me! Just thought I'd mention some things I've picked up in the studio over the years in case you were interested - I'm definitely not an audio engineer though so take my ideas with a grain of salt.
This absolutely rules and the video for My Fault is awesome. I’m sure my housemate is already getting sick of me just singing Sweet Stripe around the house
This is really great. I enjoyed my first listen a few weeks ago but it’s continue to grow on me more and more.
