we missed the trees glow gold beneath.

sumerian has a lot of bands i like but i can't stand the dude that runs it. if it means more opportunities for them then i'm happy about that at least.

  6. Reminds me a lot of Emanuel and Blindside somehow, they capture that mid to late 00s sound so well

They fixed your brain when you were young.

Found myself thinking the same thing. A little surprising to me that anyone in this day and age is signing with Sumerian due to some of Ash's edge-lord takes. I do agree with him on his streaming and royalty opinions though, and I know he's alluded to some business model or venture that will be more helpful to artists and counter streaming royalties being non-existent. So maybe he's good to artists on his label or has an interesting premise moving forward. Though I do seem to remember hearing Bad Omens openly talks about how bad of a label they are. Could be misremembered though since I'm not a Bad Omens listener.

Kinda goes without saying but if this was the new Underoath single, everyone would be like “they’re back”

Willing to pay stupid money for this new record at this point. Each single they’ve dropped in the last two years have been amazing and I’m dying to hear a full album’s worth of jams.

Whenever it does get announced, I’m immediately preordering it without hesitation. Let’s hope that day comes soon!

def need to see these guys on the next run.

  18. I didn’t realize they were playing the Dying Wish holiday show up here last month until a few days after I’d committed to hosting a holiday party. Gonna be regretting that for a while

I went and they sounded great!! During their set, however, some dude who stage dived landed on my right pinky and messed it up pretty bad so that’s what I think about now during that set lol

Definitely catch them when they’re in Portland next! I’ve see them twice now and both times they were 10/10

The Bad Omens thing was that they had merch and vinyls produced that would be exclusive to the band to sell on their webstore and Sumerian jacked that shit and sold some of it on their webstore.

As for the new song, it's good but Ash still sucks and it's not a good look for Static Dress to sign to Sumerian.

i'm still pissed that Sumerian won't repress the first Crosses record

  25. I had no idea Sumerian still had clout, I associate them a lot with early 10s djent for some reason
