I both love and am annoyed with the fact that it’s so hard for me to say anything about this album without referencing another band in the same breath, but those Errorzone ass drums on classic death pose are tough as nails

 

it’s the kind of album with a ton of easy to pick out references but still sounds original

i have a new favorite everyday i think. really obsessed with classic death pose rn. olli's lyrics are sooooo good on that one particularly.

So glad people are getting in on this. I really, really hope this gets more eyes on them so the band (mainly Olli and his creative vision) can play with a bigger budget

 

There just isn’t a weak song on here. I think it’s narrowly pulled into the lead for AOTY over Moodring and Periphery for me. This year’s been nuts.

 

My record just arrived today and it sounds STELLAR on vinyl!!

My only wish is that Side A ended with hospice and not lip critic but you can’t win em’ all.

 

the only thing i dont like is the album cover, but yeah, this is so very good. drew jake and i coulda gotten this in the top 5 in an EOTY list for sure in the ap days.

idk what it is but i seem to not be able to get on board with this the way i did the last album, although it is solid

 

I really like it and love a fair few tracks, but I agree it's not quite on the same level as their first album for me.

 

yeah its definitely still a fun time but i dont really see it as being much of a step up for them at all, it feels like they built an album around songs like disinter and such a shame which are my least fav songs off rcd

 

I feel like a lot of bands are trying to jsut not fuck up the second album. This is the first one with expectations, so this def meets those but doesn’t super excite me. It is good enough to keep my interest to see what they will do next.

 

Yeah, I'm still a fan and there's some really great moments on here. I just find myself not really loving about half of the songs as much as I was hoping to.

Yeah this is an AOTY candidate so far for me, absolutely love it
